At Kids and Braces we follow a Strict Sterilization protocol which is necessary to protect our patients, staff and doctors from cross infection.
In a quest to meet international standards our chair has been specially flown in from Brazil with bilateral removable autoclavable light handles, light proximity sensor and an Inbuilt Bio-system to prevent cross contamination through the tubing’s.
The use of disposables such as gloves, face mask, covers over working surface & covers on light handles forms a barrier hence controls cross infection inherently. The surfaces of light handles are changed after every patient.
There are a range of instruments used in dental practices which are meant for repeated use. The instruments pass through four stages before being reused
Stage 1 – After each use all the instruments are dipped in an antiseptic solution.
Stage 2 – After this all instruments are scrubbed using autoclaved brushes to remove the debris.
Stage 3 – The instruments are boiled and then packed in sterilization rolls and heat sealed.
Stage 4 – After this all the instruments are steam autoclaved at 134 degree Celsius for 20 min. All the instruments are stored in these pouches.
Working areas & operatories are sanitized in between appointment.
Our patients are welcome to ask any pertinent questions that they may have, to safeguard their health interests.
